Lil Red’s Craftin’hood <–YOUR NEXT STOP
I had so much fun creating my tags for this swap, but not near as much as I did “hanging out” with all of the participants.
My first tag is from the Halloween Category. The Mummy is wrapped in cheesecloth and I cut a little bat from some trim that I purchased at my local scrap store.
This second tag is for the Designer’s Choice category and sports an adorable apron cut from the Paper Dolls for Everyday Cricut Cartridge. Purple is the color of the day with the ribbon matching the gingham paper used for the apron.
My favorite of the three tags and the one that I spent the most time researching, inking, distressing, embossing, and decopauging is another Designer’s Choice member. Vintage Fly-Fishing is alive and well on this tag.
The vest and hat both came from the Paper Dolls for Everyday Cartridge. I found the vintage magazine graphic online and decoupaged it to the tag prior to adding the Tim Holtz Sewing Room Dress Form.
The back of this tag includes frames cut from the Mothers Day 2010 Cartridge. Each of the vintage photos of women and their catch for the day were found online. Each was printed and then inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink to give them an aged look.
I am so lucky to have a Guest Designer join me on my blog for this blog hop. You will see Cindy32 further down in our blog hop line-up, which will bring you back to Simply My Crafts for another look at all that she has created. This is my first time to swap with Cindy. I am so very happy she joined us and I am looking forward to CMB swapping with her again.
So, what’s a Blog Hop without Blog Candy? Of course, we have candy…a set of die cuts from the Tim Holtz Sewing Room Set, the Sizzix Movers and Shakers Tag/Boolplate Die by Tim Holtz, and the Tim Holtz Birdcage Die with a bit of other goodies thrown in for good measure. First let me tell you what you have to do for a chance at winning. You will receive chances for each of the following steps. First and foremost, leave a comment here for your first chance. Gain other chances by completing the next steps and coming back to leave another comment telling me which of the other steps you completed.

Finishing up my last assignment for the Bind-it-All class I was taking at the Creative Classroom, I decided to make a mini for my swap partner. Candyhazzard was my partner in the Handmade Swap over on the Cricut Message Board. Now that she has it in her possession, I thought I would post it here.
Here’s the youtube video that I posted, as well…..
I can hardly wait to get some photos taken of the items that she sent to me and get them posted. They are amazing!
Oh yea! I am so late in getting the photos posted of my swap partner’s mini paint can that she sent me. In May, I participated in Crystal’s Altered Mini Paint Can Swap and JackieBault was my partner. I posted the photos of the can I created before I sent it off to Jackie, but I was out of town for a long while when hers arrived to me. It sat, all alone, silently…waiting for me to pick it up from the post office.
What a lovely gift to be waiting for me when I arrived back home. Unfortunately, I had some deadlines that I had to meet, along with a large yard sale planned so I didn’t get the photos taken until this morning. In my opinion, not posting photos in a reasonable amount of time is RUDE! Photos of what you received in a swap is all part of the THANK YOU! and acknowledgment of all the hard work that goes into making something special for someone else. Jackie I owe you many HUGE apologies for my tardiness! I hope will accept my sincere regrets and that you will consider partnering with me again soon!
Take a look at my can and all it’s goodies!!!!
I just adore the Tim Holtz Bird Cage Die embellishment. How clever is that? Gives me all sorts of ideas!
Well, we have finally completed the first Tim Holtz Dress Form Tag Swap over on the Cricut Message Board. Who would have thought that a die cut and some fabric, paper, feathers and a few other embellishments would present such a stunning group of dress forms?
I love Tim Holtz products and knew I just HAD to own the new Alterations Sewing Room Die set when it was released. Lucky for me, a friend sent me a link (thanks Caitlysnmommy!) to a great sale and I was able to make it all mine!
We have started a new swap which will be due in August. Check it out HERE. In the meantime, please enjoy this quick video showcasing all the fine work of by each of the participants of the June 2011 Tag Swap.
After finishing my first real binding project for the Bind-it-All class that I am taking online at My Creative Classroom, I decided to embellish it with one of my handmade vintage-gungre-shabby-chic bauble flowers.
These are so much fun and easy to make, so I thought it was a perfect opportunity to try my hand at another YouTube tutorial video. After completing the video I came to the conclusion that I…
#1 need a script and
#2 talk entirely too much
The video ended up being around 20 minutes long….which resulted in editing it into two seperate videos. Instead of bringing subscribers and followers to my YouTube Channel and Blog it will probably send the masses to the streets in protest against my membership to blogdomhood and YT.
Nevertheless, I have spent an entire day video recording and editing the videos….so I am darn well going to share them…haha!
And the second half is here….if I haven’t lost you already!
We have a winner….Kathy Jo…who said….
Congratulations KathyJo…please send me your mailing address so that I can get your prize out to you. Thank you to everyone who participated and joined us on our blog hop and thank you for all your kind comments.
Welcome to the last jump of the Bashful Bunny Blog Hop. We are a group of ladies that are participating in the Bashful Bunny Hop Swap on the Cricut Message Board and many of us are beginning bloggers. All of us enjoy our crafting and revel in sharing with our fellow CMB members. You should have arrived here from Paper Crafter’s Anonymous.
The beginning location for the Bashful Bunny Blog Hop is …My Little Corner. Some of the Bashful Bunnies will be offering some awesome BLOG CANDY! Be sure to see the very creative projects they each have on display and follow the instructions on each individual blog to enter their drawings.
Since we are empty nesters now, we do not decorate for Easter as we did when Hais and JMorgan were li’l darlins. So in following our new tradition of decorating the tree that is still up in our family room, I added little bunnies for a festive touch. At Valentine’s the tree was covered in kraft and dark red hearts and for St. Patrick’s it was shamrocks with faux stitching around the outer edges. Everything was cut with my Cricut Expressions.
Hais was home for a short weekend visit, so I decided to make some sorority door decorations for her dorm room at the house. The following Cricut Cartridges were used to complete this project:
A Child’s Year
Of course, it only seemed fitting to make matching door decs for Hais’ sorority sisters, as well.
Now for the BLOG CANDY! WooHoo! Follow Simply My Crafts and leave a comment on this post for an opportunity to win some ??????
